The Voice Lifting the Veil for Hip-Hop
Platune grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's telltale neighborhoods and evolved through his passions for lyricism, music and free expression. Platune brings an original, unique musical aesthetic to the hip-hop landscape and in the studio, Platune has grown comfortable jumping genres and mashing up influences to create unique and one of a kind modern hip-hop sound. Platune has been compared to the likes of Nas, J. Cole, IDK and more. Platune's mission is to lift the veil from the communities of hip-hop listeners led astray by the systemic norms tailored against the poor, the outspoken and minorities alike.
Born of Self-Created Moments
Starting out, the idea of living the road artist life was the last thing my mind. After creating my own local gigs, I realized the only way for to evolve as an artist was to hit the road & begin booking Platune tour dates near and far. Within the last year Platune has created or performed at various Philly locations & events — with the occasional neighborhood appearance —Platune has set his sights on touring with other Music and Bands across the rest of the US.
Looking to the Future
Platune has initiated a movement to provide underprivileged schools with aid and resources to improve the needy state in which many schools find themselves. Using this campaign in support of Platune's newest tracks, Platune has been able to foster a connection with school communities both foreign and domestic. Future performances will prominently feature the new tracks but also dive into favorites from Platune's previous releases. Check out our tour page for when we’ll be playing near you.
